Poster child for Québec tourism, Île-d’Orléans evokes images of days long gone: quaint villages, old stone houses with thatched roofs, rolling fields and orchards. Most French Canadians can trace at least one, if not dozens, of ancestors who called Île-d’Orléans home centuries ago.
